Kazakh fashion designers showcase their collections at Mad Mood Milano

Domestic designers presented their collections as part of the Spring/Summer 2022 shows at Milan Fashion Week. The clothes, made in the style of neo-folklore, struck a chord with the European audience. Fashion designers skillfully combined the centuries-old traditions of the Kazakh people with modern fashion trends. Kui songs by Kurmangazy were chosen as runway music. In addition to the fashion show, Kazakh delegation organized an exhibition at which they told visitors about the tourism potential of the Zhambyl region.

“In the lead-up to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence, Kazakh fashion designers took part in Milan Fashion Week with the support of Zhambyl region governor Berdybek Saparbayev. As part of this event, they organized an exhibition where they presented the tourism potential of the region. We believe that this will facilitate contacts with European countries in the field of tourism and increase the tourism potential of our region,” said Zhalgas Murtaza, Head of Zhambyl Region Tourism Department.
