Friendship alley between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan opens in Bishkek

The alley of friendship of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan named ‘Harmony’ was opened in one of Bishkek parks. Ambassador of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov and Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev, as well as parliament members took part in the official opening ceremony, which was dedicated to the two countries’ 30th anniversary of independence. Each of the guests, in their congratulatory speeches, spoke about the historical importance of the ties between the Kazakh and Kyrgyz peoples and the current need to maintain this friendship.

“This year our countries are celebrating 30th anniversary of independence and it is very symbolic that it is at this time we that we are opening the alley of friendship. Our peoples are close in spirit, culture, we have common values and we have perfect mutual understanding. We will be glad if our songs sound in this park and we will celebrate the most significant anniversaries,” said Talant Mamytov, Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament.

“The opening of the alley symbolizes friendship between the two fraternal peoples. We have common spirit, unity and mutual understanding. This is not our first joint project. This suggests that we have strong economic ties, as well as cultural, friendly, fraternal ties. Therefore, opening of the alley is very symbolic. This is a sign of our joint friendship,” added Gulshat Assylbayeva, Chairperson of Kazakh Diaspora in Kyrgyzstan.
