Russia to publish book about Alikhan Bokeikhan

A book about Alikhan Bokeikhan will be published. Its author will be a Russian scientist Viktor Kozodoy. According to him, the book will reflect previously unknown facts from the life of one of the Alash Orda leaders. First, the book will be published with a total print run of 1,000 copies.

“He really played a significant role, first of all, for Kazakhstan. He was a politician of a nationwide level for Russia as well. At the beginning of the 20th century, he played a defining role in the history of Kazakhstan,” said Viktor Kozodoy, PhD in history, Russia.

The book is a scientific work, which is completely dedicated to the life of the prominent Kazakh political figure, but at the same time, the book is written in the simplest possible language for every reader to understand it easily. While writing, the author mainly relied on documents and data from the Toraigyrov library. At the same time, the author used the archives from Almaty, Semei, Pavlodar, Tomsk, Omsk, Samara, Orenburg and Novosibirsk. Thus, the scientist believes that the book will become a useful guide for historians.

“Viktor Kozodoy joined our library as a reader on November 28 in 2019. It was at that moment that he was researching the personality of Alikhan Bokeikhan. They even came to us for several days in order to study the activities of one of the Alash party’s leaders,” said Assemgul Aulbayeva, spokesperson, Toraigyrov Universal Scientific Library, Pavlodar region.

The presentation of the book about Alikhan Bokeikhan is planned to be held in October and in three cities of Kazakhstan. It is symbolic that it will be released ahead of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence.
