Astana Opera to present five premieres in the new season

Astana Opera theater announced the start of a new ninth season ahead of its anniversary. The gala concert took place on the Constitution Day - August 30. The country’s famous artists performed the distinguished patriotic songs and classical compositions. The new season is supposed to be grandiose. The theater will present five premieres. The head of the theater’s opera troupe Azamat Zhyltyrkozov told about the plans of work.

“We are starting the ninth season ahead of the 10th anniversary season. If we talk about the current ninth season, then we have prepared five premieres, including three operas and two ballets. Sure, it is not easy to present in one season five premiere performances. However, we are confident that everything will go well. In addition, our artists are planning to perform on the stage of the Shymkent Opera Theater. Opera singer Maira Mukhamedkyzy rehearsed with us yesterday, and today she is already in Shymkent. She will bring her own production ‘Domalak Ana’ to the capital,” Zhyltyrkozov said.
