Head of State holds emergency meeting on explosions in Zhambyl region

President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held an emergency meeting on the explosions in Zhambyl region. It was attended by the Prime Minister, heads of defense, security and law enforcement agencies. The Head of State expressed his condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to all the injured. At the meeting, the President gave a number of instructions to deal with the incident. In particular, an interdepartmental state commission for the elimination of the consequences has been created. It will be headed by the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar. In addition, President Tokayev instructed to take measures to prevent the spread of false information about the incident.
