Kazakhstan’s capital is ready to shoot international action films

Kazakhstan’s capital is ready to shoot international action films and blockbusters. To prove this, shooting of a promotional video is taking place in Nur-Sultan with the participation of the world-famous Ukrainian racer, winner of international championships Aleksandr Grinchuk. The goal of the project is to show the global film and video communities the readiness of the country and the city to accept large international film projects. The organizers plan to show the potential for filming such videos or episodes for feature films. The final video will be spread worldwide. It is expected to hit nearly 50 million views. The plot of the video will feature an athlete participating in a racing game, where he receives an update as a new location – the city of Nur-Sultan. Thus, he finds himself on the streets of the capital, and explores it in his usual extreme manner.

“We, the city of Nur-Sultan, are positioned as a city of event tourism, but at the same time, we have great potential in terms of the development of film industry. One of the elements of branding and promotion of our city in this direction is a shooting of this kind. We want to show the beautiful places of our city, how beautiful, dynamic and modern it is,” said Yerzhan Baltayev, Chairperson of the Astana Invest.
