Singers from Kazakhstan to represent the country on 2021 Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk

The grand opening of the 30th International Festival of Arts ‘Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk’ will take place in Belarus today. The Kazakh entry to the contest this year is 22-year-old Ruhiya Baidukenova. She is a third-year student at the Kazakh National University of Arts. 10-year-old Amina Asgatova from Aktau will represent the country in the children’s contest. Young singers are both the winners of numerous national and international competitions.

In addition, this is not the first time Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen is a judge at this competition, and it is notable that Kudaibergen himself won the Grand Prix of this festival back in 2015. This year’s winners of the International Festival of Arts will be announced on July 19. The winner of the Grand Prix will receive a special prize, which is a Golden Lyre statuette.
