“My fellow Kazakhs! I am happy that it was the privilege of my generation to revive the statehood of the Kazakh nation. The initially laid foundations of the new statehood became the groundwork for building a strong, independent and prosperous Kazakhstan. I am proud that it was me who had the great honor to revive and establish our country. We have come a long way and our reward has been to live in a prosperous state with peace, stability and unity at its center. Thank you all for your unstinting support and the high level of trust you have given me over the years. Today, we are united as never before in our history. We are united by our responsibility for the fate of the country, the energy of creation and the love for our country!”, said Nursultan Nazarbayev in his address.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also congratulated the people of Kazakhstan. According to the President, nowadays consolidation of the nation and selfless service of every citizen to the values of the Independence are extremely important. President Tokayev said that the country will continue its external course towards strengthening the international security system by enhancing the role of multilateral structures and the United Nations. Kazakhstan will firmly defend its national interests and consistently pursue a balanced and constructive foreign policy that has proved its effectiveness in the modern multipolar world. In addition, he stressed that the elections to the Mazhilis and Maslikhats at all levels will be an important event for the country in the coming year, which will demonstrate the high level of civic engagement and political maturity of the society.

“Dear fellow citizens! The coming year will be a milestone for us. It will be the 30th anniversary of the Independence of our homeland. We will mark this crucial date for our people with concrete actions and new projects. We will continue to implement a wide range of systemic measures in economic, social and environmental spheres. We will pay close attention to the needs and requirements of all segments of population, especially young people, women and people with disabilities. We are committed to continuing the process of political modernization of the country. A new reform package is now being prepared, which we will announce early next year. This will give new impetus to the democratic transformations in our country aimed at building a ‘responsive government’, promoting and strengthening the principles of justice and equal opportunities”, said President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
