Kazakh Ethnic Assembly awards public figures

The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan awarded representatives of various industries ahead of the Independence Day. Kazakh citizens who make a significant contribution to the strengthening of friendship between ethnic groups, to peace and harmony in the country, as well as to the development of economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres received the awards. In total, 15 state and public figures were awarded.

“I consider myself a happy person, since I was awarded the «Kurmet» Order. This award has become the most important and significant moment in my life. I received medals before, but I did not expect that such an honour awaits me. This was a surprise to me,” shared Natalya Dementyeva, a principal at a technical lyceum in Kokshetau.

“I am very excited. This award is a huge motivation for me. It gives me a second breath, energy and impetus. I urge everyone to contribute to the development of the state language, to its popularization. And I also urge not only people of other nationalities, but all Kazakh citizens, especially young people, to popularize the state language,” said Svetlana Kryuger, expert of ‘Kogamdyk Kelisim’ RSI in Kyzylorda region.
