President of Kazakhstan speaks at closing of 74th session of World Health Assembly

At the 74th session of the World Health Assembly, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the invaluable contribution of the WHO to the global fight with COVID-19. He said that coronavirus became an unprecedented stress test for national health systems and international institutions. The WHO actively cooperated with member states during the entire global crisis. Thanks to its knowledge, enthusiasm and experience, the Organization took the lead in the fight with the virus in both developing and developed countries, the Head of State emphasized. President Tokayev in his video address highlighted the importance of the primary health care, in particular, on promoting the 2018 Astana Declaration.
