President Tokayev receives CSTO Secretary General

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas, who informed the Head of State about the condition and development prospects of the CSTO. A wide range of issues was considered on key areas of the activity of this international organization during the meeting. Stanislav Zas also reported on the work carried out by the CSTO Secretariat to implement the initiative of the Kazakh President to establish an institution of the Special Representative of the CSTO Secretary General for peacekeeping. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a number of proposals on the prospects for the development of the Organization, noting the readiness of the Kazakh side to further strengthen political cooperation within the CSTO and expand its potential.
