Tokayev holds phone call with European Council President

Joining efforts and establishing trust-based dialogue is important in improving the geopolitical situation. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted this during a telephone conversation with President of the European Council Charles Michel. The Head of State emphasized that our country could contribute to bettering of the international situation by playing a role of a kind of “Buffer market” between the East and the West, the South and the North. President of Kazakhstan also urged the European Union to cooperate in the development of alternative transcontinental corridors, including the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Tokayev also highlighted that Kazakhstan is ready to use its hydrocarbon potential to stabilize the situation on the world and European markets.
