Kazakh Senate to adopt over 20 laws in 2022

Chairperson of the Senate of Kazakh Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev commented on the address of the Head of State. ‘Legislative support for the President’s initiatives is our priority,’ he said. The new address differed from the previous ones, both in meaning and value. It was about a number of important political reforms and new initiatives. The address particularly highlighted the need to strengthen the role of the Parliament. Such a step poses great challenges for the state body and places responsibility on the way of transformation and modernization, the speaker noted. He stressed that the issues raised by the Head of State are based on the needs and demands of society.

“We have to adopt more than 20 laws by the end of the year. We are facing greater challenges, so we must continue to carry out systematic and comprehensive work. When adopting laws, it is very important to take into account the opinion of the population, representatives of civil society and experts. Legislative support for the President’s initiatives is our priority, so the time has come for hard and creative work,” Ashimbayev said.
