First session of Kazakh Parliament of 7th convocation starts in Nur-Sultan

The first session of the Kazakh Parliament of the seventh convocation opened in Nur-Sultan. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the new composition of the Mazhilis and thanked the MPs of the last convocation for their work. The Head of State also announced a new package of political reforms related to further development of the country. To note, 410 laws were adopted in the Parliament within five years. The members of the Parliament, using their right, prepared nearly 60 bills, noted President Tokayev during the joint session of the Houses of the Kazakh Parliament.
