Kazakhstan and China: ‘New 30th golden anniversary of relations’

Kazakhstan and China are opening a ‘new 30th golden anniversary of relations’. That is how Chinese President Xi Jinping called the level of relationship between the two countries at a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Beijing. The leaders of the two nations talked about strategic and mutually beneficial partnership. At the end of the meeting, Kazakh President invited the Chinese leader to make a state visit to Kazakhstan, Tokayev’s press secretary Berik Uali wrote in his article published in the newspaper ‘Kazakhstanskaya Pravda’. At the end of his visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the reception of Xi Jinping. The meeting was also attended by the heads of official delegations who arrived at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. The President had talks with the UN Secretary General, the WHO head, the leaders of Poland, Singapore, Qatar, Pakistan and Central Asian countries. All of them supported the decisions taken by President Tokayev to stabilize the situation related to the January events.
