Kazakh scientists form ancestry of Kazakh people

It is now the work of scientists to learn about the ancestry and find out about our roots. Kazakh scientists form a special genetic ancestry, which is also called genetic shezhire, of Kazakhs. As it turned out, modern research technologies can shed light on the origin mysteries of entire peoples. Until this day, the picture was unclear, scientists said.

“The situation is complicated by the fact that we have very few historical documents. All information was mainly conveyed by word of mouth, in the form of shezhire, some kind of myths and legends. All that remains to historians is to turn to the archives of neighboring states, which have historically had relations with us. First of all, they are China and Iran, Russia in a later period,” noted Yerlan Ramankulov, Director General of the National Center for Biotechnology.

The study of shezhire will help determine the place of Kazakhs on the world genetic map among the Turkic-speaking peoples of Central Asia and the whole world. It is also possible to learn about genetic characteristics, for example, what kind of diseases this or that genus is predisposed to. However, according to scientists, no such diseases were detected in Kazakhs.

“We obtain the results by separating into fractions and detecting with a laser. This is the so-called genetic profile, which is often expressed numerically. This digital value is then conveniently processed in various programs and systems, and we can identify some systems and mutations. Or identify features that are characteristic of a particular genus,” said Zhanargul Dyusenova, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Human Genetics.

Today scientists are already sharing the first results. For example, a study of the DNA of Argyns showed that the tribe descended from one ancestor – Emir Karakhodzha – the son of a chieftain and confidant of the Khan of the Golden Horde Tokhtamysh. Anyone can “decipher” the mystery of their origin and learn about the family shezhire.
