Kazakhstan reports 1,248 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Nur-Sultan continues to remain in a high-risk COVID-19 ‘red’ zone. The Kazakh capital accounts for the highest single-day increase in coronavirus cases in the country. The city detected 413 new positive cases of infection in the last 24 hours. Overall, Kazakhstan reported 1,248 new cases of COVID-19 in the past day. Karagandy region is in second place with 146 new cases. The city of Almaty follows with 117 new infections. According to data from the Kazakh Health Ministry, total COVID-19 cases in the country exceed 411,000. Meanwhile, 1,753,969 Kazakh citizens have been fully vaccinated with two doses.
