The highest single-day increase in cases in the country falls on Nur-Sultan. The Kazakh capital reported 203 new infections in the past day. Karagandy region recorded 142 new cases, while the city of Almaty 138. Total COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan approach 397,000. According to data from the Kazakh Health Ministry, over 22,000 citizens continue to receive treatment for coronavirus. 7,500 of them are in inpatient care. To date, over 2.326 million Kazakh residents have received the first dose of the vaccine and over 1.240 million people are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
