Kazakh Government informs of absence of vaccine deficit

Kazakh Government named several scenarios related to COVID-19 for this summer. According to the positive scenario, the number of infected will be a little more than 60,000 from June to September this year. In the worst case, this figure will reach 95,000. The number will depend on the desire of Kazakh residents to receive the coronavirus vaccine. To date, three million citizens have followed the recommendations of Kazakh Health Ministry. A third of them received both components of the vaccine. Health Minister Alexey Tsoy said that Kazakhstan has a sufficient volume of vaccine doses, the reserves of which are being replenished, meaning that there is no shortage of the medicine.

“The vaccination points currently have enough vaccine doses, about 320,000 of the first component and 650,000 of the second one. Karaganda Pharmaceutical Complex produced additional 1.7 million shots of the Sputnik V vaccine, which will be supplied to regions on schedule,” Tsoy said.

In addition, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructed to increase the vaccination rate of the population and use digital technologies in the fight against the dangerous disease. He stressed that it is now important to integrate sections with information on the vaccination campaign into mobile app Ashyq and e-gov website.
