Situation with coronavirus in Kazakhstan gradually stabilizes, Tsoy says

The epidemiological situation with coronavirus in Kazakhstan is gradually stabilizing, said Kazakh Health Minister Alexey Tsoy. He reported that today West Kazakhstan region exited the so-called «red» zone, which still includes the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, as well as Akmola, Karagandy and Atyrau regions. Meanwhile, Kyzylorda region exited the «yellow» zone, which now has the city of Shymkent as well as West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Kostanai, Pavlodar, Mangystau and North Kazakhstan regions.

Health workers have noted a decrease in the number of cases of the dangerous disease for the past three days. According to them, 1,558 Kazakh citizens tested positive for COVID-19 in the country in the last day. Overall, since the beginning of the pandemic, 375,500 people have been infected with the virus.
