Kazakhstan records significant decrease in coronavirus cases again

Kazakhstan recorded a significant decrease in coronavirus cases. 1,832 more people were infected in the country in the last day. This figure exceeded the mark of 2,000 infections for several days in a row. The city of Almaty again detected the highest number of COVID-19 cases. 398 people caught the infection there. 355 tested positive in Karagndy region, 179 in Kazakhstan’s capital.

The improvement of the epidemic situation can also be observed due to the so-called “red” zone that has dwindled. To date, Nur-Sultan and Almaty cities, Akmola, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, and Karagandy regions remain in the “red” zone. Slightly better things are in the city of Shymkent as well as in Aktobe, Kostanai, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions. The rest of the regions are in the safe “green” zone.
