Vaccine passport to be integrated with Ashyq app

COVID-19 vaccine passports of Kazakh citizens will be available in the Ashyq application. Integration will be carried out by July 1 of this year. The status of citizens who have received two doses of the vaccine will be indicated in green, project leaders announced at a briefing. Overall, since the application was launched, the number of users who were assigned a ‘red’ status has reached 2,000. Moreover, the number of enterprises working with Ashyq has already exceeded 5,000. Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport has also joined the project since May 12. Thus, residents who see off and meet air passengers can now enter the airport building using this app. 10,000 people were checked this way. Coronavirus patients were also identified among them.

“Currently, thanks to this app, there is now no pandemonium, and it is also a great help in terms of security. Eight travellers with red status and nine with yellow status were identified during these days. So, 15 infected people arrived from another airport that didn’t carry out checks and those passengers were going to fly further,” said Yuliya Yakupbayeva, Deputy Chairperson of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
