Kazakhstan reports 2,480 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours

Kazakhstan records 2,480 COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours. The country’s capital accounts for the highest single-day case count, which amounts to 796 infected. Almaty city follows with 722 cases, whereas Karagandy region recorded 165 infected. According to Kazakh Health Ministry, the number of laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection recorded in the country since the onset of the pandemic totaled at over 1,326,000 cases. Currently, over 14,000 Kazakh residents continue receiving treatment for coronavirus, 1,206 of them are treated on an inpatient basis. According to the latest data, over 9,324,000 people received both components of the vaccine. Over 4,950,000 Kazakh residents got a booster shot.
