Kazakhstan signs decree on booster doses for COVID-19 vaccination

Booster vaccination in Kazakhstan will start on November 22. The country’s acting chief state sanitary doctor signed the corresponding decree. Health workers, teachers, law enforcement officers, people over the age of 60, employees of medical and social institutions and people with weakened immunity will be the first to receive the vaccine. At the second stage, all willing citizens will be able to be revaccinated. Also, it became known about the recommended intervals. Booster immunization after the inoculation of vector vaccines can be done after nine months, inactivated and mRNA vaccines – after six months. The decree also prescribes that revaccination is also allowed with the vaccine used for the primary course of immunization against COVID-19.
