Epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan

Against the backdrop of a gradual improvement in the epidemiological situation with coronavirus, quarantine was weakened in Almaty. The norms of the ‘yellow’ zone have come into force there. From now on, shopping and entertainment centers, trading houses, beauty salons, saunas, swimming pools, spa and fitness centers can operate without restrictions. This also applies to the schedule of interregional and intraregional transportation.

In the West Kazakhstan region, on the contrary, quarantine may be tightened. This is due to a sharp deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the border regions of Russia. At a meeting of the regional operational headquarters, it was proposed to limit the activities of restaurants and cafes that work until 5 am under the Ashyq program. Monitoring groups will have to control compliance with sanitary requirements in public places. In addition, it is planned to tighten the requirements for crossing the border. Now, the western Kazakhstan is in the ‘green’ zone. In the last 24 hours, 9 people were infected here.
