North Kazakhstan region may impose full lockdown

Residents of North Kazakhstan region can face a full lockdown. It’s all because the number of COVID-19 cases has increased 1.5 times since the beginning of October. Sanitary doctors of the region relate the growth of the infected with the low vaccination rates and the spread of the “delta” strain.

“North Kazakhstan region has been in the “red” zone for over two weeks now. If the incidence rate of the deadly disease does not stop, we will be compelled to suspend the work of enterprises and introduce a full lockdown. Of course, this is a forced measure, because a sharp increase in the morbidity rate can lead to a great burden on medical institutions,” said Deputy Head of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of North Kazakhstan Region Arman Kushbasov.
