Concert dedicated to great Kazakh composers takes place in Astana Opera

A concert entitled “Two geniuses” took place in honor of the great composers Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi. Soloists and artists of the Astana Opera theatre performed their works, including the famous opera “Abai”, “Aria”, “Romance”, “Kazakh Waltz” and other vocal and chamber compositions. They were performed both in original violin sound and in the arrangement for kobyz, cello and other instruments. A great-granddaughter of Akhmet Zhubanov, a pianist Karina Izmailova also performed in front of an audience. The concert program held as part of the 115th anniversary of these outstanding figures of the Kazakh art will end tomorrow. The composers have left a great musical legacy. Their works constantly sound from the stages of theatres and concert halls.
