Central Asian countries strengthen partnership in tourism sector

The route from Turkistan through Samarkand to Bukhara can become a popular tourist destination. This was discussed at a meeting of the Organization of Turkic States. The event was dedicated to the development of tourism. According to experts, there are ancient cities in Central Asian countries that attract thousands of tourists from all over the world every year. Therefore, the Turkic states intend to expand cooperation in this area.

“We have agreed with Uzbek businessmen and signed a memorandum on the possibility of launching a tourist bus on this route from March. In general, we are now seeing an influx of tourists from the neighboring country and associate this mainly with the opening of a flight from Turkistan to Tashkent,” said Rashid Ayupov, Deputy Governor of Turkistan region.
