Kazakhstan quadruples vegetables exports to EAEU countries

Kazakhstan began exporting four times more vegetables to the EAEU countries over the past five years. The volume of delivered fruits increased two times, dairy products –almost three, reported Kazakh Vice Minister of Agriculture Ruslan Manatayev.

“Despite the pandemic, agricultural production last year grew by 5.6%, while in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union this indicator amounted to only 2.3%. And this is far from the limit,” the Vice Minister noted.

He added that the country has the potential to significantly increase the volume of exports of both agricultural products and ultra-processed foods. The growth of the production and export resulted from the opportunities that open up thanks to Kazakhstan’s membership in the EAEU, Ruslan Manatayev emphasized.
