Kazakh government to make housing more affordable

17 million square meters of housing are planned to be built in Kazakhstan this year, which is almost two million square meters more than in the past 12 months. At least 550,000 medium-sized one-room apartments will be constructed. The authorities plan to provide another one million families in Kazakhstan with housing in the future. At a Government’s meeting, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin stressed that the housing policy in the country is undergoing serious reforms, which is necessary to implement the targets. He said that the new set of measures will make housing more affordable and stimulate the inflow of investments from private property developers.
