US$8 million attempted to be flowed out of Kazakhstan illegally

Over US$8 million have been attempted to be flowed out of Kazakhstan since the start of the year, the press service of the National Security Committee reports. Ordinary Kazakh residents will now be able to combat the illegal concentration of economic resources. It is planned to launch a website of the Interdepartmental Commission, where every resident will be able to learn about the council’s work, as well as make suggestions. The President established this special commission. The representatives of the new body will be responsible for the return of illegally removed assets to the country.

“All actions of the Commission must comply with legal rules, law enforcement and government agencies are obliged to prevent overreaches and abuses. It is planned to create a special section on the website for public involvement, through which everyone will be able to send up a report or submit a proposal on the activities of the Commission,” said Ulan Baizhanov, Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan.
