Kazakh exports to Azerbaijan grow 3.4 times

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan increased by almost 3.5 times. In the first five months of this year, the trade between the two countries hit more than US$161 million. In monetary terms, the growth for the same period last year amounted to over US$48 million, QazTrade reports. There was an increase in both exports and imports. Overall, this year Kazakhstan exported to Azerbaijan products worth US$125.5 million, whereas in 2021 this figure was US$37 million. Experts note that the growth in exports was primarily influenced by the increase in the supply of such goods as wheat, oil and petroleum products, railway locomotives and rails, as well as unalloyed steel rolled products.
