Kazakh Finance Ministry: Government fulfills social responsibility in 2021 in full

The economy growth, as well as business activity has accelerated in the country. Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev stated this when he presented the report on the budget implementation for last year. According to him, all sectors of the economy achieved positive development indicators. Thus, manufacturing volume grew by 4 percent, construction - by 8 percent, transport and trade - by 3.6 percent and 9.2 percent, respectively.

“By the end of 2021, the inflation rate amounted to 8.4 percent. The investment volume in fixed assets increased by 3.5 percent. Unemployment rate was held at 4.9 percent. National budget implementation in these conditions is characterized by the following indicators. Budget revenue totaled at 12.7 trillion tenge with the implementation rate of 100.8 percent. Expenditures comprised 99.2 percent and amounted to 15.2 trillion tenge. Social expenditures increased by 910 billion tenge and came to 7.5 trillion tenge,” said Kazakh Finance Minister Yerulan Zhamaubayev.

According to the minister, expenditures on the social sector was increased last year. They made up half of the national budget.

“The salaries of teachers, doctors, workers of cultural establishments and social workers were increased. Almost 950 billion tenge went on these purposes. 422.6 billion tenge was allocated for disease-control measures. In general, despite the pandemic, the state has fulfilled its social obligations in full,” Zhamaubayev added.
