Kazakhstan imposes ban on sugar re-exportation

Kazakhstan imposes a ban on the re-export of sugar. Agriculture Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev signed the corresponding order. The ban will be in effect for six months. The restrictions are imposed on both white and raw cane sugar. The country’s Ministry of Trade and Integration noted that all possible measures would be taken by the executive bodies to maintain a stable level of sugar prices. The ministry also reported that there is no shortage of sugar in Kazakhstan, and that the country’s stocks are constantly replenished.
