Over 1 trillion tenge to be allocated to support Kazakhstan’s economy

Over one trillion tenge (US$2.3 billion) will be allocated to support the economy of Kazakhstan this year. The funds will be used to develop the manufacturing industry, the agro-industrial complex and highways, as well as subsidize the interest rate, guarantee entrepreneurs’ loans and much more. In addition, the government intends to increase the volume of foreign direct investment attracted to the country. Incidentally, following the results of 2021, the state returned to the “pre-pandemic” level of capital inflow. 44 new investment projects worth US$3.5 billion were commissioned last year. Moreover, a pool of potential projects has been worked out for domestic and foreign businessmen.
