Foreign direct investment flows to Kazakhstan increase

Kazakhstan attracted over US$23 billion of foreign investment last year, which is almost 38 percent more than in 2020, the press service of the country’s Foreign Ministry reported. Top largest foreign investments in the domestic economy come from the Netherlands, the U.S., Switzerland, Russia and China, the office said. The second top five includes Belgium, the U.K., South Korea, Turkey and France. Foreign investors put up their money mainly for agriculture, professional, scientific and technical fields, information and communication, as well as electricity supply. There are also substantial increases in capital expenditure on the manufacturing industry.
