Commission on Demonopolization of economy created in Kazakhstan

The Commission on Demonopolization of the Economy has started its work in Kazakhstan. It will consider the issues of the transfer of unreasonably privatized objects to state ownership, in particular, in the spheres of telecommunications, railway infrastructure, media assets, as well as other industries. Following the results of the first meeting, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov instructed the Ministry of Finance, jointly with authorized state bodies and Samruk-Kazyna, to submit proposals to the Government on mechanisms of transferring unreasonably privatized objects to state ownership within a week.
