Prices for socially significant goods to remain stable, Kazakh government says

The prices for socially important goods will remain stable. At a government meeting, Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov instructed to focus on curbing food prices. In addition, the PM stressed that in order to further increase business activity in the current conditions, it is necessary to carry out effective work on industrialization, attracting domestic and foreign investments. At the same time, he stressed that this is particularly related to contributions to non-primary sectors, as well as to the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

“In the current difficult period, the most important task is to further accelerate the economy while maintaining growth rates. It is necessary to enhance efforts to increase the income of the population, create jobs and diversify the economy. With this aim, in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the Government is implementing an action program for 2022. A program has also been developed to increase the income of the population. I instruct the first heads of state bodies and governors to take strict control over the high quality and effective implementation of the activities contained in these documents,” the PM said.
