Support program for Kazakh exporters launches on January 25

Support for small and medium businesses as a priority. Selection for the Export Acceleration 2022 program starts in Kazakhstan on January 25. It is expected that 190 domestic enterprises in the engineering, chemical, light and food industries, as well as service providers will be selected. It is worth noting that this will be the third program that is held annually to support Kazakh exporters to bring their goods and services to foreign markets. It is intended to run until 2025. A separate list of countries for targeted promotion of Kazakh-made products is also determined every year. This year it is Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Since the launch of the first program in 2020, participating companies have signed contracts worth about US$150 million. Long-term agreements for the supply of the products made in Kazakhstan to the markets of Russia, China and Central Asian countries are among them.

“As part of export acceleration, enterprises are engaged in diagnostic work on export potential with the development of recommendations and preparation of products for the requirements of target markets, participation in trade and economic missions and negotiations with potential buyers. The program is now in its third year. Enterprises that produce finished products and have the material and labor resources to increase production volumes may participate in the program,” said Assylzhan Kadim, Director, Analytics and Consulting Department, QazTrade.
