Kassym-Jomart Tokayev meets with Kazakhstan’s business community

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with representatives of Kazakhstan’s large businesses in the capital today. The Head of State called on the country’s business community to start working together on building a new economic policy. The President emphasized that its main principles should be fair competition, transparency, predictability of state policy, tax honesty of business, and social responsibility of entrepreneurs. He also instructed to create a council of domestic entrepreneurs under the government. Such agency will be able to directly convey the thoughts and ideas of business and reduce backroom in the decisions made. The President noted that he is ready to regularly hold meetings with the business community and thanked those who had already transferred funds to the ‘Kazakhstan Khalkyna’ Fund. The major companies will annually contribute a percentage of taxable income determined by the government to it. The President called on domestic companies to reinvest in Kazakhstan’s economy.
