Recovery rate of Kazakhstan’s economy accelerates to 3.8% over 11 months

Successful adaptation to the pandemic. The economy of Kazakhstan is showing a steady growth rate. Following the results of eleven months of this year, GDP growth amounted to 3.8 percent. Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin stated this at a government meeting. According to him, all sectors of the country’s economy have shown dynamic development.

“The real sector continues to grow steadily. Manufacturing output increased by 5.2 percent. Growth is recorded in mechanical engineering by 18.5 percent, including the automotive industry - by 21.3 percent, the production of locomotives and carriages - 56.7 percent, building materials - 9.2 percent, pharmaceuticals - 27.9 percent. There is a recovery in the mining industry due to an increase in coal production by 0.7 percent and metal ores by 3.9 percent. Stable accelerated increase of 3.9 percent is recorded in the services sector due to the high dynamics in communication services, trade and transport. The construction industry grew by 6.2 percent,” Mamin said.

Kazakh Prime Minister stressed that over the past 11 month, 13.4 million square meters of housing have been commissioned in the country. This figure surpasses that of 2020 by more than 10.5 percent.
