Nearly US$253 million of investments directed to environmental protection

Environmental protection is taking center stage. Environmental investments are growing in Kazakhstan. Since the beginning of the year, they have amounted to nearly 108 billion tenge  (US$253 million). This is 16.5 percent more than the year before. According to ‘finprom.kz’, the growth of this indicator has been observed for the fifth year in a row. Just over half of the investments in the sector are in Zhambyl and Aktobe regions. Significant investments have also been made in Nur-Sultan city and Atyrau region. The least funds were directed to Almaty city and Turkistan region.
