Investments in agriculture grow by more than 40% over nine months

Investments in fixed assets in the agriculture totaled 427 billion tenge (little over US$1 billion). According to the finprom.kz website, since the beginning of the year, investments in agriculture, forestry and fisheries have grown by more than 40 percent. These investments are secured by the enterprises’ own funds and non-bank loans. In the same period of 2020, 292 billion tenge (US$685.2 million) were invested in agricultural sector, which is over 10 percent per year. The largest amount of capital was accounted for North Kazakhstan region. Akmola and Pavlodar regions also enter the top three.
