Kazakhstan, Belarus expand cooperation in mechanical engineering

The production potential between Kazakhstan and Belarus is growing. Currently, seven large joint factories on the production of equipment are operating on the territory of Kazakhstan. Most of them are for assembling cars. The equipment is assembled so actively that indicators over the first seven months of this year have achieved figures of 2020. These are, mainly, of course, tractors and combines. At the same time, with the increase in the volume and capacity of production, the focus is made on increasing the content made in Kazakhstan.

“We are going to boost localization. We are creating an enterprise for the full production of cabins that will be launched next year. They will be manufactured here, supplied for the production of related products with engines. These are diesel generators, mobile, stationary compressor stations, and so on. Plus there is great interest and there are certain agreements on the creation of auto components here in Kazakhstan. One of them is for the production of glasses for enterprises in mechanical engineering,” said Pavel Utyupin, Belarusian Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

The plans include a significant expansion of the production volumes of combines, assembly of spare parts and tools of agricultural machinery. In addition, negotiations are currently underway on the implementation of a joint project and on the production of special fire vehicles. The Belarusian side is also interested in investing in the industry, especially in the training of professional staff.

“Jointly with the Kostanai College of Agrotechnics, there is an agreement to create a center for training specialists on the basis, including those technologies that are in Belarus, with the equipment of the material and technical sphere. Accordingly, the relevant documents have been signed, the material and technical base of this college is being completed. Everything will be comprehensive, students who will study there, will have opportunity to work not only in our companies, but at the enterprises of the machine-building profile of Kazakhstan,” said Pavel Utyupin, Belarusian Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
