Transit transportation rate increases in Kazakhstan

Following the results of last year, the volume of traffic by all types of transport in Kazakhstan totaled almost 4 billion tons. This is 6 percent lower than in 2019. According to Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, compared to air and road transport, the railways traffic was stable with the growth of 4 percent. The number of transit traffic has also increased by 37 percent over seven months. This is the China-Europe-China corridor.

“No restrictive measures were imposed on road and rail freight transport. Goods were transported to neighboring regions, in general across Kazakhstan,” said Azamat Kozhanov, spokesperson for Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
