Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan set to bring mutual trade to US$1 billion

Kazakhstan is set to increase mutual trade with Kyrgyzstan. Just a few days ago, the parties signed export agreements worth US$13 million, said the press service of Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration. The countries mainly agreed on the supply of goods of chemical, pharmaceutical, construction and mechanical engineering industries. According to the relevant domestic department, Kazakhstan takes the third place in foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan. 334 joint enterprises are operating in this country with the participation of the Kazakh capital. This year, the two countries sold goods worth US$329 million. This is 8.2 percent more than in the same period in 2020. The parties plan to bring this figure to US$1 billion.
