New trade and logistics center to be built on Kazakh-Kyrgyz border

A new trade and logistics hub will be built on the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It has already been allocated a special place in the area of the Karasu checkpoint in the Zhambyl region. Preparatory works are being carried out there. The trade hub will сarry the name ‘Alatau’. It is being noted that this station will increase the trade turnover between the two countries. Recently, the Heads of State agreed to increase trade to US$1 billion. The new complex will contribute to the development of agro-industrial complex as well as to the modernization of industrial cooperation. In addition, it is planned to increase joint projects between the two countries in this direction and reduce the cost of delivering goods to the consumer.
